El Paso County Parks Invites Citizens to Attend the Second Widefield Community Park Master Plan Public Meeting
El Paso County Parks invites citizens to attend the second Widefield Community Park Master Plan public meeting, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Fountain Creek Nature Center, 320 Pepper Grass Lane in Fountain.
Please come to the meeting to hear more about the project and voice your opinions about the future of Widefield Community Park, including recommended park and trail improvements, potential upgrades, management, and maintenance.
Project team members will present maps and site-specific improvement ideas, and recommended future actions for Widefield Community Park. Following the meeting, the draft master plan will be available online for public review.
Review and adoption by the Park Advisory Board and Board of County Commissioners is anticipated in March 2017, with the first improvements to follow soon thereafter, which will be funded in part by urban park fees. Your valuable input will assist El Paso County in managing this wonderful County property, determining existing and future needs, and solidifying recommendations for improvements, upgrades, and additions in the years to come.
