Driver’s License Services to Resume Wednesday
[Colorado Springs, Colo. – Feb 21, 2017] Driver’s License services will continue to be unavailable at El Paso County motor vehicle offices today as personnel work through issues relating to the new driver’s license system. The new system, launched by the Colorado Department of Revenue (who oversees and manages Colorado’s motor vehicle section), was installed over the weekend.
Full services could be reinstated later today if the issues are resolved. Please watch for updates.
“Our office is committed to providing the best customer service experience possible for our citizens,” said Clerk and Recorder Chuck Broerman. “We’re confident that personnel will work through these issues quickly, and we’ll be back online for our citizens soon.”
Only driver’s license related services are affected. Citizens can still register, title, and renew the registration on their motor vehicles at any of the five Clerk and Recorder Offices throughout the county. Any citizen with questions about the services affected—or who may need an extension on their driver’s license—should call (719) 520-6240.
