Kayla Marie Summers, the 2017 El Paso County Fair Queen was introduced to the Board of County Commissioners during its Thursday, June 15 regular meeting. Summers, an 18-year-old El Paso County native, was selected Queen in March and has a busy schedule of promotional appearances and events leading up to the July 15th opening day ceremonies.
“It is always an honor to come to the Board of County Commissioners and know that we will have your full support throughout the fair,” said Pam Dawson, the co-coordinator of the El Paso County Fair Queen Program before introducing Summers to the Board.
Summers, who graduated cum laude from The Classical Academy in Colorado Springs is now enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley to become a physicians’ assistant.
