El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa is pleased to announce two local children will be honored with the El Paso County Sheriff’ Office 911 Heroes Awards. These awards are presented throughout the year to children who call 911 during emergencies and provide life saving details in a calm, professional demeanor to the call taker.
Twelve year old Jacob “Cooper” Listul and nine year old Hannah Tobey-Ramos will be recognized by Sheriff Maketa for their heroic and lifesaving actions during two separate emergencies that occurred earlier this year. The ceremony will take place at on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 3:30 p.m., and will be held at the Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Bureau, 101 West Costilla Street. Media members are welcome to attend.
