Public Health Urges People With Respiratory Conditions to Use Caution
Colorado Springs, CO, June 24, 2012 – The El Paso County Citizens Service Center will be open and all services available during normal business hours on Monday June 25, 2012. However, El Paso County Public Health urges residents with respiratory health problems to use caution in the area because of heavy smoke as a result of the Waldo Canyon Fire.
Voters wishing to drop off ballots are reminded that the Clerk and Recorder’s Office provides several locations in addition to drop off at Citizens Service Center. Ballots can be dropped at three other locations to avoid the emergency operations traffic on Garden of the Gods Road as well as smoke from the fire.
On Monday, June 25, curbside ballot drop-off will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Election Day it will be available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Clerk & Recorder’s branch offices are:
o Main – Citizens Service Center – 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road
o North – 8830 N. Union Blvd (Research Pkwy and Union Blvd)
o Southeast – 5650 Industrial Place (Powers Blvd and Airport Rd)
o Downtown – Centennial Hall – 200 S. Cascade Ave (Cascade and Vermijo)

Voters are encouraged to drop-off their ballots at one of the Clerk’s branch offices or additional ballot drop-off locations. To assist voters, the Clerk will be providing curbside ballot drop-off at all four branch offices on Monday, June 25, and on Election Day, Tuesday, June 26.
