Curbside Ballot Drop-Off is relocated
June 26,2012 – ColoradoSprings, CO –On Tuesday,June 26, due to the high amount of smoke and ash in the air from the WaldoCanyon Fire, the El Paso County Clerk & Recorder has relocated curbsidedrop-off for ballots for the Primary Election to inside the buildings. Voterscan still drop off ballots at these locations but they will be required to parkand walk inside the building.
The Clerk& Recorder’s branch offices are:
oMain– Citizens Service Center – 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road
oNorth– 8830 N. Union Blvd (Research Pkwy and Union Blvd)
oSoutheast– 5650 Industrial Place (Powers Blvd and Airport Rd)
oDowntown– Centennial Hall – 200 S. Cascade Ave (Cascade and Vermijo)
No changeshave been made for the additional ballot drop-off locations listed below:
oEast– Charles C. “Chuck” Brown Transportation and Environment Complex – 3275 AkersDrive
oSouth– City of Fountain City Hall – 116 South Main Street
oNorth– Town of Palmer Lake – City Clerk’s Office – 42 Valley Crescent.
Ballots must be in the possession of the County Clerk & Recorder by 7:00 p.m. today inorder to be counted. Postmarks will not be honored and those ballots will notbe counted.
