SHERIFF’S OFFICE FEATURES TOP 10 WARRANTS ON WEBSITE

Beginning today, August 1, 2012, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the use of their website (http://shr.elpasoco.com/) to feature the Top 10 Warrants in El Paso County.  Fugitives with felony arrest warrants are featured on the site a month at a time.  As arrests are made, the site will be updated to reflect the capture. 

The Sheriff’s Office is committed to community partnerships and understands many crimes are solved because a citizen was willing to get involved and notify law enforcement of criminal activity.  With the Top 10 Warrants added to the website and viewable on any desktop or mobile device, we hope anyone with information on the whereabouts of those featured on the site would call the Sheriff’s Office at 390-5555. 

Regarding the launch, Sheriff Terry Maketa commented, “It creates an easy, on-line opportunity for our community members to become informed about fugitives who are believed to be in the area.  Through law enforcement efforts and greater community awareness, we hope to make timely arrests of those featured.”
