On August 11-12, 2012, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will host the 2012 Region 14 United States Police Canine Association Police Dog 1 Certification Trial. The trial will begin at 8:00 a.m. each day and will be held at Widefield High School, located at 615 Widefield Drive.
The public is invited to watch as police dogs and their handlers compete in obedience, obstacles, suspect searches and suspect apprehension. World renowned dog trainer Joe Clingan, owner of Fort Collins Protection Dogs and Training will be the chief judge for the trail.
