The Fourth Judicial District announced today that phone numbers for the district court, county court, clerk of court, court administration and probation department in the El Paso County Judicial Building will change at 12:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.
“The phone numbers are being changed out of a need to upgrade the entire phone system,” said Fourth Judicial District Chief Judge Gilbert Martinez. “The system currently used in the courthouse has reached the end of its life cycle as parts to maintain the system are no longer available.”
The change in numbers will also result in a more uniform approach to assigning numbers to court divisions, as well as court and probation offices. Phone numbers at the Teller County Courthouse will remain the same.
The new switchboard number for the courthouse will be 719-452-5000. This main number will allow callers to transfer to district and county court divisions, the court clerk’s office, court administration, other court-related offices and the probation department within the courthouse. The new number for the jury commissioner and matters related to jury duty will be 719-452-5001. The new number for the probation department will be 719-452-5900.
Additional phone numbers for specific court divisions and offices, as well as the probation department, will be posted to the Internet at 8:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at: http://www.courts.state.co.us/Courts/County/Index.cfm?County_ID=6
