Colorado Springs, October 4, 2012 - The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve as community-at-large members on the El Paso County Juvenile Community Review Board. Applications for the open positions are due by October 26, 2012.
The El Paso County Juvenile Community Review Board reviews the case files of juveniles and makes decisions regarding residential community placement, taking into consideration the results of the objective risk assessment by the department of human services, the needs of the juvenile, and the criteria established by the juvenile community review board based on the interests of the community. Object risk criteria shall be based upon researched factors that have been demonstrated to be correlative to risk to the community. At-large members are appointed for three-year terms and may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.
