October 11, 2012 – The Exchange Club of Falcon is hosting the Falcon Craft Fair on Friday October 19th (2 to 7 p.m.) and Saturday October 20th (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) to benefit needy families in El Paso County. All the proceeds will go to High Plains Helping Hands and Gods Pantry in Ellicott. The event will be held at the Patriot Learning Center, which is located in Falcon behind Pikes Peak Community College, at 11990 Swingline NE Road, Falcon CO 80831. Donations of cash, non-perishable food or gently used coats, gloves, scarves or new toys will be collected for entrance into the fair.
Items for sale at the craft fair by 70 Crafters will include; hair bows, blankets, handbags, crochet work, silver and stone jewelry, ornaments, wool woven items, handmade sweatshirts, table top fountains, quilt magic, bath and body soaps, creams, homemade lip balm, carved gourds, sun catchers and lots of items to give as Christmas presents. There will, also, be a silent auction. Saturday is Military Day and U.S. Flags on poles tagged with the name of a fallen soldier from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will be on sale for $25. Boy Scouts will be on hand grilling food as well.
