The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve as private citizen members on the Citizen Review Panel. Applications for the open positions are due by November, 2, 2012.
The Citizen Review Panel is an extension and continuation of the grievance (appeal) procedure established through the Department of Human Services Quality Assurance Program, provides a forum for the discussion of consumer concerns regarding the Department of Human Services, reviews and audits quality issues and concerns with the department, and considers and addresses other issues brought before it by the director of the department. It consists of no less than five and no more than nine members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for three-year terms. Members may not serve for more than six consecutive years.
